Overview

The Supply Chain Associate supports the daily operations of the Supply Chain Department by coordinating materials procurement, inventory control, and vendor communications. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that materials and finished goods move efficiently and safely through the supply chain to meet production and customer delivery requirements — all while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and OSHA compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Inventory Quality Assurance

  • Pick and package orders accurately based on plant and customer requirements.

  • Oversee product and packaging quality to guarantee consistency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Source, order, and track raw materials, supplies, and components.

  • Process purchase orders and related documentation.

  • Manage raw material levels and communicate needs to the Supply Chain Manager.

  • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.

  • Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.

  • Support and uphold inventory control procedures, cycle counts, and safety stock requirements.

  • Ensure all inventory handling complies with OSHA and company safety regulations.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in ERP or inventory management systems.

  • Assist with forecasting and planning activities to support production and logistics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, purchasing, sales, and customer service to align supply chain activities with organizational goals.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve accuracy, efficiency, and safety.

  • Foster open communication across all departments to promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and proper PPE usage in warehouse and production areas.

  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.

  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, near-misses, or potential hazards to management.

  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials to maintain a safe and compliant workspace.

 

Qualifications
  • Education: Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Experience: 1–3 years in supply chain or related roles (manufacturing experience preferred).

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WMS software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to operate a high-reach lift or forklift safely and in compliance with OSHA standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 75 lbs. safely using proper techniques and equipment.

  • Stand or walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

 

Work Environment
  • Combination of office and warehouse settings with regular cross-departmental interaction.

  • Exposure to standard warehouse conditions where adherence to safety and OSHA compliance is essential.
