We are seeking an experienced supply chain coordinator to establish, monitor, and adjust PAR levels for orthopedic-specific supplies including implants (joint replacement systems, screws, plates, anchors), biologics, disposables, and general OR supplies.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts; reconcile discrepancies and maintain accurate stock records in the ERP/inventory management system.
- Rotate stock using FIFO (first-in, first-out) methodology; proactively manage expiration dates on implants, biologics, bone graft materials, and sterile supplies.
- Maintain organized, clean, and labeled supply areas including implant storage, consignment inventory, bone room, and general supply rooms in compliance with ASC standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for orthopedic supply and implant vendor representatives.
- Schedule and facilitate product evaluations, trials, and demonstrations in coordination with the surgical team and administration.
- Receive and verify incoming shipments for accuracy against purchase orders; process discrepancies with vendors and document corrections.
- Maintain accurate shelf labels, lot number tracking, and implant log documentation per regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
- Manages a team and ensures staff awareness of new items, product changes, substitutions, and supply availability.
Experience/Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 12 months of experience in healthcare supply chain, surgical services, central sterile, or a related clinical/operational role.
- Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification.
- Basic knowledge of medical/surgical products and equipment; orthopedic implant and instrumentation knowledge strongly preferred.
- Experience in purchasing, receiving, shipping, and distribution in a surgical or ASC environment.
