JOB SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning and optimizing of the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with target customer service, forecast accuracy and safety stock levels, for the allocated portfolio of SKU's for which she/he is accountable. The Supply Chain Coordinator acts as an assistant to the lead Planner who communicates to manufacturing and other functional groups to ensure alignment that achieves diverse multi-functional goals.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The employee is potentially exposed to airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and ear protection, is required as well as other protective equipment i.e., safety shoes.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals possessing various degrees of technical expertise. Bilingual a plus
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Strong analytical abilities. Proficiency in Excel and Access. Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing, operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues. Good communication and team building skills. Detail oriented, Extreme accuracy. Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical skills. Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics. Ability to lead cross-functionally. Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
