Lencore Acoustics LLC, a subsidiary of Emmis Corporation is a leading manufacturer of Sound Masking, Paging and Audio Systems.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator / Purchasing Agent with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient procurement operations, strong supplier relationships, and seamless coordination across internal teams and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders, resolving supply gaps, and coordinating with production facilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing and sourcing strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines on assigned commodities
  • Maintain supplier database, purchasing records, and related documentation
  • Partner with sales and planning teams to determine and manage inventory requirements
  • Ensure that all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications, including finished goods from contract manufacturers
  • Prepare cost estimates and support cost-reduction initiatives
  • Analyze inventory levels and supply chain processes; recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability
  • Support engineering changes, product launches, and product line extensions to ensure smooth material transitions
  • Monitor supplier performance and reliability; identify and help qualify new suppliers as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers, manufacturing partners, and internal teams
  • Generate reports and provide data to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities with a proven track record of building relationships
  • Solid understanding of purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics processes
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or supply chain systems preferred

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related role

Position Details

  • Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)
  • Hours: Weekdays, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (flexibility as needed)
