Job Title: Supply Chain Decarbonization Program Specialist
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Introduction:
Client is committed to being carbon neutral across its entire value chain by 2030. A key part of this commitment is the Supply Chain Residual Emissions Carbon Credits program, which requires suppliers to reduce and offset their Client-related residual emissions in line with quality standards. We are looking for a contractor to provide day-to-day programmatic support, with a focus on supplier engagement, education, and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in voluntary carbon markets, corporate sustainability, or climate consulting
- Working knowledge of carbon credit quality standards (e.g., ICVCM CCPs, Verra VCS, Gold Standard, CCB, FSC)
- Familiarity with GHG accounting principles across Scopes 1, 2, and 3
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences
- Experience managing external stakeholder relationships
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Understanding of carbon compliance markets in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and/or China
- Experience with third-party carbon project ratings (e.g., BeZero, Sylvera, Calyx)
- Background in supply chain sustainability or manufacturing
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Serve as a frontline contact for suppliers, fielding questions on program requirements and carbon credit procurement, and escalating complex issues to the core team with clear context.
- Develop training materials and deliver educational sessions to help a global, diverse supplier base understand and navigate program requirements.
- Review and aggregate supplier carbon credit procurement plans during annual forums, assess quality and compliance, and provide structured feedback.
- Help suppliers understand their obligations under the specification and support enforcement activities, including tracking progress and following up on outstanding requirements.
- Apply knowledge of carbon credit quality frameworks to assess supplier-proposed credits, including projects seeking Client approval outside standard pre-approved pathways.
