Supply Chain Director - Manufacturing / Global Operations

Salary Range: 160,000 - $175,000 annually
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Supply Chain Director to lead and build all supply chain functions for a growing manufacturing organization supporting complex, project-based production environments.
This role will be responsible for developing and scaling supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, material planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance across both domestic and international operations. Initially operating as a hands-on contributor, this leader will build and scale the supply chain function to support rapid growth and global expansion.
What You'll Do
Supply Chain Leadership
Lead all supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, material planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier management
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for complex manufactured components and assemblies
Establish scalable supply chain processes, procedures, and operational controls
Supplier & Sourcing Strategy
Build and manage supplier relationships, including qualification, onboarding, performance management, and contract negotiation
Drive supplier performance, cost savings initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies
Support multi-site and international supplier networks
Planning, Inventory & Logistics
Develop and implement material planning and inventory control processes including MRP and demand planning
Optimize inventory levels, material flow, and working capital
Coordinate domestic and international logistics, including freight, transportation, and trade compliance
ERP & Systems Integration
Lead supply chain design and integration within ERP systems:
Item masters
Supplier data
BOM structures
Planning parameters
Drive ERP implementation, system optimization, and reporting capabilities
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Quality, and Finance teams
Align material availability with production schedules and project milestones
Support strategic initiatives and organizational growth
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Develop and track key KPIs including:
On-time delivery
Supplier performance
Inventory accuracy
Lead time reduction
Cost savings
Build reporting dashboards and provide insights to executive leadership
Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
Team Development & Growth
Build and lead the supply chain organization as the company scales
Recruit, develop, and mentor supply chain professionals across multiple locations
Establish structure, accountability, and long-term scalability
What You Bring
Core Skills
Strong expertise in global supply chain operations within manufacturing environments
Deep knowledge of sourcing, procurement, material planning, inventory control, and logistics
Experience building and scaling supply chain processes in high-growth environments
Strong ERP systems experience, including implementation and integration
Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement skills
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Strong communication skills across executive, operational, and international teams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field required
7-10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations leadership
Experience within manufacturing, industrial, modular, or engineered product environments preferred
Experience supporting international operations and global supply chain activities required
Experience with ERP implementation and process development strongly preferred
Experience building or scaling supply chain functions in a high-growth or startup environment preferred
Pay Details: $160,000.00 to $175,000.00 per year
