Internship Overview:

The Supply Chain Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting purchasing, inventory planning, supplier management, forecasting, and continuous improvement activities. Working alongside Buyers, Planners, and Supply Chain Managers, the intern will assist with daily operational responsibilities, support the review and update of the Kem Krest Supplier Quality Manual, coordinate supplier acknowledgements and documentation, and lead a forecasting and inventory optimization project designed to improve demand visibility, inventory performance, and overall supply chain effectiveness.

The intern will assist with operational tasks while developing a strong understanding of how purchasing, planning, inventory management, transportation, suppliers, and customers work together to ensure product availability and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support purchasing and inventory planning activities to maintain product availability and customer service levels.
• Support demand planning and forecasting activities, including a dedicated forecasting and inventory optimization project.
• Coordinate distribution of Supplier Quality Manual updates and obtain signed supplier acknowledgements.
• Analyze supply chain data and prepare reports related to inventory, demand, supplier performance, and service metrics.
• Help maintain accurate planning parameters, item master data, and system records.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on process efficiency, inventory optimization, and data accuracy.
• Create and update work instructions, process documentation, and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Planning, Customer Service, Operations, Quality, and Finance.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong attention to detail.
