Position Summary The Supply Chain Inventory Coordinator Technician is responsible for coordinating and assisting with the daily support of operations to include inventory management and control of perpetual and par locations. Location: Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, Orlando, FL Department: APMC Central Supply Type: Full-Time (40 hours) Shift: This position will be a mid-shift role, scheduled from 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Training will initially take place on the day shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. APMC Central Supply Parter with clinical staff to identify and provide medical supplies to various hospital departments on a regular and timely basis, and to provide deliveries of special-order supplies to departments as they occur, and to facilitate all administrative corporate Supply Chain functions at the site level, with care and consistency. Central Supply operating hours: Monday through Friday 24 hours, Saturday and Sunday 5 AM to 11:00 PM. Initial set-up and on-going maintenance of PAR (Periodic Automatic Replenishment) locations containing a pre-arranged range of medical supplies to clinical and support teams. Receiving special-orders at the dock and delivering them to the requesting department or otherwise arranging for these deliveries. Facilitate monitoring of expiration dates and product recalls, and assisting other departments in the rotation of supplies, recall management, and fiscally optimal supply usage. Responsible for preparing, monitoring, and replenishing code cart trays containing disposable supplies. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Identifies excess inventory, returning stock and processing credits; notifies supervisor of outdates or slow-moving inventory. • Notifies the Supply Chain Operations Lead or Supply Chain Operations Supervisor of issues impacting the department's operational efficiency. • Responsible for rotating dated stock and maintaining a working stock level of supplies on the par locations, procedural rooms, and the Central Supply warehouse. • Uses hand-held device to inventory supply locations. • Creates and manages bin locations and labels, where required. • Answers telephone or customer requests with appropriate Orlando Health commitment to excellence customer service responses. • Expedites correction of all discrepant orders with purchasing department. • Reports discrepancy volume and fluctuations. Initiates process improvements and assists in their implementation. • Maintains warehouse and par locations, including accurate replenishments, organization, labeling systems, and periodic par evaluations and adjustments. • Follows procedures for accurate receiving and delivery of shipments. Reconciles paperwork and issues to completion. • Participates in putaway and validation process of perpetual inventory items, and issues and credits materials from the inventory management point-of-use system. • Develops and maintains relationships with clinical leaders and teams. Qualifications Education/Training High school diploma or GED equivalent Basic computer skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, preferred Licensure/Certification Valid driver's license Experience Two (2) years of related warehouse, inventory or customer service experience required. An Associate's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of required experience.
