Become a Supply Chain Inventory Management Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, youll be responsible for overseeing inventory commodity within the Supply Chain Inventory team. You will work closely with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams to develop and implement strategic inventory plans that enhance program efficiency, improve service levels, and drive cost and space optimization. Your efforts will focus on supply and demand forecast, MRP parameters, inventory optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. As a subject matter expert, you will serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing insights and guidance while proactively communicating any challenges or risks to relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and mitigate risks, leveraging market intelligence to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. • Leads cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex supply chain challenges, fostering collaboration, creativity, and a focus on delivering measurable business value. • Conducts advanced data analysis and modeling to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels, utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques to drive accuracy and efficiency. • Negotiates strategic supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives, while building strong mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers. • Drives continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain, leveraging best practices, emerging technologies, and a keen focus on process optimization and cost reduction. • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and execute long-term supply chain and inventory management strategies and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market dynamics. • Coaches other team members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and professional development. • Represents the organization at industry events and conferences, sharing best practices, staying current with emerging trends, and building relationships with key stakeholders and thought leaders.

Minimum Qualifications

Seven or more years of experience in supply chain sourcing, supplier relationship management, and process optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead. • Two or more years of experience managing medium-sized projects, tasks to completion. • Experience conducting supply vs. demand analysis to find opportunities for improving efficiency and capabilities, and developing and implementing processes and/or projects. • Performs in-depth analysis to identify risk to inventory, such as extended lead times, material shortages for new or obsolete SKUs, that could impact client project demands, while collaborating with key team partners on mitigation strategies to minimize the impacts to materials and supplies. • Experience defining key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain to measure actual performance against goals. • ERPMR expertise and experience, SAP, etc.

Additional Information

This positions work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

The primary work location for this position is Irwindale, CA. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at an alternate work location. Position will require up to 25 traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply to this position.
