This role will primarily focus on logistics for Rock Supply Chains for the Subsea Rock Installation scope of work which includes quarries and ports capable of executing our project needs. The role will interface with both Offshore Energies Commercial Team and Project Execution Team. The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager Offshore Energy.About the CompanyGreat Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation is the largest provider of dredging services in the United States as well as having a long history of performing significant international projects. This unique technologically advanced vessel is an essential step towards building the marine infrastructure required for this new industry which holds so much promise for our nation economically and environmentally.The Company employs experienced civil ocean and mechanical engineering staff in its estimating production and project management functions. The Companys commitment to the IIF culture promotes a work environment where employee safety is paramount.QualificationsCollege level degreePreference for Bachelor in Engineering Degree Civil Engineering Industrial Engineer etc0 to 3 Years of Job Experience in Engineering Geotechnical Supply Chain or ConstructionAggregate Industry Civil Engineering Industrial Engineering or Construction experience preferredGeology and Geotechnical KnowledgeProficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office programsSelf-starter willing to learn and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic fast paced environmentStrong analytical skills and problem-solving abilityExcellent skills in planning and organization as well as verbal and written communicationDuties and ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze quarry and port vendor pricing production capabilities transportation stockpiling and loading capabilitiesReview and analyze Project plans & specifications including project specific requirements and testing relevant to the supply chainTechnical evaluation of quarry rock characteristics and ensure compliance with project specificationsProvide detailed supply chain cost inputs and supporting documentation for commercial tendersRequired to travel both domestically & internationally with travel being up to 30 of timeVendor site visits to assess proposed capabilities operability logistics and identify key considerations for project executionSupport project execution activities such as vendor interface and production trackingSupport project execution activities site visit rock gradation tests and site visit loading operationsAdditional duties as assignedBenefitsCompetitive salary401k program that includes 100 company matching of the first 6 of employee contributions with immediate vesting.Annual profit-sharing contributions by the company to participants 401k accounts based on companys annual performance.Medical Dental Prescription Vision Life and Disability insurance plans.Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
