Supply Chain Manager
Location: South San Francisco, CA
 
Position Summary
At Neurona Therapeutics, we are developing cell therapies - the potential to transform the treatment of serious neurological disorders. We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee inbound supply chain and warehouse operations supporting GMP manufacturing and laboratory activities.
Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Operations, this role ensures - the timely availability of GMP raw materials, consumables, and manufacturing supplies while maintaining compliant warehouse operations and inventory control. The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Facilities, and external suppliers to support manufacturing readiness, inventory accuracy, and continuity of supply.
 
As the organization grows, this role will have opportunities to expand into additional areas of- the supply chain, including planning, logistics, and process improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement, planning, receipt, storage, and inventory of GMP raw materials, consumables, and manufacturing supplies.
  • Oversee GMP warehouse operations, including inventory control, material issuance, and compliant material flow.
  • Ensure material availability to support manufacturing while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Manage refrigerated, frozen, and cryogenic inventory to maintain product integrity and cold chain compliance.
  • Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and mitigate supply risk.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations - on manufacturing readiness, supplier qualification, and material lifecycle management.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, material traceability, and ERP/MRP transactions.
  • Support deviations, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Drive continuous improvement to strengthen supply chain efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse activities and provide guidance to warehouse personnel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, procurement, inventory, or warehouse operations within - biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cell therapy, gene therapy, or biologics manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting GMP manufacturing and managing refrigerated, frozen, and cryogenic inventory.
  • Experience with supplier management, inventory planning, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Working knowledge of FDA, EMA, and other global GMP regulations governing pharmaceutical or cell therapy manufacturing and distribution.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting commercial or late-stage clinical manufacturing.
  • Experience with cryogenic storage and LN inventory management.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Experience coordinating or mentoring warehouse or supply chain personnel.
