Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our S&S Materials Management and Transportation team in Auburn, Washington or Puyallup, Washington.

The successful candidate is self-motivated driven person who can manage and integrate employees' activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Specifically in the delivery customer service role. You should be able to develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals. Acquire resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of team members and lead process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Our teams are currently hiring for (Level K) Supply Chain Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees analyzing supply chain material requirements, developing and optimizing inventory planning and synchronizing supply chain demands.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete this assessment will remove you from consideration

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Supply chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • 3+ years of experience with data analytics
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years leading critical projects
  • 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 5 + years of experience with materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with safety and quality processes
  • Aerospace or manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
