We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to support our development teams and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of electronic components. These could include specific parts related to Tesla vehicles, Tesla energy and/or any other components intrinsic to the successful manufacturing of our products. This role will report to our Supply Chain Group Manager and in parallel be an active sourcing resource supporting our various Engineering groups within Tesla.
Owner of an electronics component end to end from influencing engineering design all the way through end of life
Owner of RFQ s - ensuring all commercial terms are agreed and documented
Drive piece price to ensure Best-In-Class commodity pricing while meeting quality standards
Address category management including business plans, market conditions, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies
Monitor global industry trends and partner with Design teams to identify/mitigate supply challenges
Manage supplier relationships and performance including dispute resolution, scorecards, and periodic business reviews
Participate in design reviews, change control meetings, and technical discussions with Engineering partners
Understand technical datasheets and manufacturing process controls for their commodity space
5+ years of experience in supply chain or commodity management for high volume manufacturing products
Technical and commercial understanding of semiconductor manufacturing (wafer, frontend, backend, assembly test)
Ability to influence cross functional partners with detailed analysis supporting pricing and sourcing decisions
Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years in passives/relays or semiconductor commodity management
Electrical engineering concepts and bottom-up should cost modeling capability
