Position Summary:
We're looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing strategy and materiel availability for Air Force and DoD sustainment programs. This role owns the supply plan end to end, from demand and supply planning through sourcing strategy, item management, and inventory optimization, and needs someone comfortable analyzing spend and performance data to make the call on the right sourcing approach for a portfolio.
Responsibilities
Develop, publish, and maintain supply chain and sourcing strategies that keep DoD weapon systems and programs supplied and mission-ready.
Lead demand and supply planning, item management, and requirements development across an assigned portfolio.
Analyze performance and spend data to select the best overall sourcing strategy and resolve complex inventory and materiel problems.
Coordinate contractor and organic repair arrangements, validating repair requirements and managing depot supply support.
Optimize asset distribution and inventory positioning based on program and customer needs.
Prepare reports, briefings, and correspondence for government customers and internal leadership.
Ensure compliance with DoD supply chain policies and applicable acquisition and logistics regulations.
Partner with program and engineering teams to align supply chain execution with broader program schedule and cost goals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
Experience in Air Force, DoD, or defense industry supply chain, logistics, or materials management.
Strong analytical skills, comfortable working spend and performance data in Excel to drive sourcing decisions.
Experience developing or executing sourcing strategies and supply plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to brief both technical teams and program leadership.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required by the program.
APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or PMP a plus.
