Amazon Trailer fleet is a critical backbone of how Amazon delivers packages to customers around the world. Connecting vendors, fulfillment centers, sort centers, air hubs, and last mile delivery stations. Amazon Middle Mile is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, organized problem solver who excels at internal stakeholder management, innovative, and customer-obsessed Sr. Program Manager. In this role, you will drive Amazon's Trailer fleet planning across North America Middle Mile Transportation network. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing stakeholders and customers, managing multiple priorities and deadlines, and delivering strong results. This person must have a high degree of autonomy with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal guidance. They must be able to think strategically, yet execute methodically to deliver to the highest standards. This person has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the aptitude to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to varied audiences. They will have a strong entrepreneurial orientation and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary in a start-up like environment. Key job responsibilities - Establish mechanisms to plan trailer capacity based on load forecasts from stakeholder teams across Outbound, Inbound, Warehouse Transfer, Amazon Freight External, and other business units - Lead end-to-end quarterly planning cycles related to trailer planning and have a deeper understanding of the demand drivers and operational changes - Drive accountability across business units for forecast accuracy by tracking plan vs. actuals - Conduct sensitivity analysis on key drivers including dwell time improvements, demand variance, and defect rates - Provide strategic recommendations on fleet optimization and procurement timing - Evaluate business unit performance and align planning timelines for better performance tracking A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic thinking and hands-on problem-solving. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, dive deep into operational challenges, and offer simple and effective solutions. About the team This role resides within the Middle Mile Fleet Strategy (MMFS) org. The mission of MMFS is to build the safest, most sustainable, most efficient, and most technologically advanced fleet in the world. MMFS ensures fleet equipment is never a constraint for the business to scale by having the right asset at the right place at the right time to serve our customers. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of defining and executing against program timeline & requirements experience - 5+ years of program or project management experience, or a Master's degree and 5+ years of supply chain experience - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Experience communicating effectively with senior leadership - Experience using data and trends to articulate business needs or equivalent - Experience managing competing priorities and using metrics to drive business decisions - Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units - Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field - Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products - Experience in stakeholder management, including influencing executive level global leaders - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
