Position Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Oak Creek, WI
Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager will have overall responsibility for supervising the process of sourcing and purchasing essential materials for our Client's operations. Reporting directly to the COO and CEO, the Supply Chain Manager's duties include researching raw materials suppliers and comparing costs, negotiating purchase agreements, requesting and maintaining food safety documentation, and developing inventory controls to identify demand for new materials.
Responsibilities:
Source potential suppliers, supplier management and conduct successful contract negotiations for food and other related categories
Understands all product offerings, packaging, and pricing
Monitor compliance of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, specifications, onboarding documents and all related activities
Order inventory from vendors and secure shipment arrival times
Identify gaps in product categories; work to find new vendors/products available
Conducting research on potential products and vendors, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal
Daily inventory checks to place orders for refilling stock
Weekly inventory audits
Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues in a timely manner
Updating all records of purchased products
Help manage and support daily logistics including daily transfers and customer shipments from multiple off-site warehouses
Assist various teams (Accounting, HR, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Warehouse, Inventory) with daily tasks and projects
Create physical vendor check-in flow
Establish and implement vendor check-in times
Communicate with vendors on delivery days with issues, exceptions, etc.
Manage vendor issues log and reconciliations
Handle supplier non-conformances and issue Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs)
Onboard new vendors into program
Manage Vendor Agreement for the pre-order market
Assist different types and sizes of vendors, and address challenges with each
Review vendor listings and identify/correct any misleading or mislabeled information
Enforce basic food safety and sanitation procedures
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
BS degree in Supply Chain and/or Management
Food manufacturing experience with at least 3–5 years of experience in a commercial food or bakery plant or restaurant leadership role with increasing managerial responsibilities
Basic math skills/proficiency required
Proficient with computers (MS Office) and basic office technologies
Must communicate via email, utilize the Internet & ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software programs
Ability to communicate in a professional manner
Superior organizational skills
Ability to work as a contributing member within the team
Experience leading and/or supervising others within the Supply Chain and/or Purchasing function

Environment / Physical Demands:
Work is performed largely in an office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with a minimum of 40 hours per week. There will be some variation in work hours due to employee shift schedules, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns
Operations may require exposure to cold coolers and freezers for variable periods of time
May be exposed to loud noise for periods of time. Ear plugs are available
