    Job Description

You will define how Planning and Procurement processes work at Amazon Robotics as the organization scales its ERP, PLM, supply chain planning, and supplier collaboration systems. In this role, you consolidate requirements from multiple teams, quantify process gaps with data, and drive alignment on future-state workflows that support hundreds of suppliers and thousands of components across a global robotics supply chain.

Amazon Robotics Supply Chain includes Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Execution, Logistics, Program Management, and Trade Compliance - functions that collectively deliver robotics solutions across Amazon"s fulfillment network. The Supply Chain Execution team within this organization owns planning, procurement, master data management, and aftermarket spare parts readiness.

As a Supply Chain Manager on the Process and Systems Enablement team, you will use data, process analysis, and stakeholder feedback to identify recurring pain points, document functional needs, write user stories, and build business cases that program and technology partners can prioritize and execute. You will bring structure to evolving and sometimes undefined processes by aligning stakeholders on workflows that scale across teams and systems. You will not own system architecture or integration delivery; instead, you will own the business-side closure of Supply Chain Execution requirements by driving alignment on process needs, decisions, validation criteria, and implementation readiness.

    Key job responsibilities

Lead the consolidation of Supply Chain Execution requirements for Planning and Procurement processes across ERP, PLM, supply chain planning, and supplier collaboration initiatives, partnering with product management and technology teams to translate operational needs into user stories and business rules.

Analyze operational data, process performance, and exception trends to identify pain points, quantify their impact on material readiness and delivery timelines, and prioritize improvements.

Represent Planning and Procurement in system design sessions and support user acceptance testing to validate that implemented capabilities meet approved requirements.

Define and maintain process metrics that support business reviews, monitor system adoption, and inform decisions on where to reduce manual work through automation or better integration.

Shape scalable future-state workflows from ambiguous current-state processes, driving cross-functional alignment on decisions, validation criteria, and implementation readiness.

    A day in the life

You might start the morning reviewing exception reports and procurement data to pinpoint where manual workarounds are slowing the team down. Mid-morning, you join a design session with product management and technology partners to walk through a proposed ERP workflow change, making sure Planning and Procurement needs are captured. After lunch, you document user stories from that session and update your requirements tracker. Later, you meet with planning leads to align on validation criteria for an upcoming system release, then close the day by preparing a summary of open requirements and risks for your weekly business review.

Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. Benefits can vary by location, the number of regularly scheduled hours you work, length of employment, and job status such as seasonal or temporary employment. The benefits that generally apply to regular, full-time employees include:

    1. Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage

    2. Maternity and Parental Leave Options

    3. Paid Time Off (PTO)

    4. 401(k) Plan

If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we"d still love to hear from you! At Amazon, we value people with unique backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets. If you're passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply!

    About the team

We are focused on strengthening how we plan, procure, and track materials across a supplier base that spans complex technologies and high-volume programs. It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here
