Description

Careerscape is recruiting a Supply Chain Manager on behalf of our client, a regional distribution company headquartered in Sacramento, California. This role oversees the full scope of supply chain operations including procurement, inventory management, vendor relations, and logistics coordination across multiple distribution facilities.

The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate closely with operations, finance, and sales teams to ensure product availability, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical background and direct experience managing supplier networks and logistics partners in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain processes from procurement through final delivery
  • Oversee vendor and supplier relationships including contract negotiation and performance reviews
  • Monitor inventory levels and execute demand planning strategies to minimize excess stock and stockouts
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize distribution center operations
  • Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators for supply chain efficiency
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
  • Partner with sales and finance to align supply chain capacity with business volume forecasts

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating supplier contracts
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and supply chain management software
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
  • Hands-on experience with inventory management and demand planning processes
  • Effective communication skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration
  • APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred but not required
