The Supply Chain Planner III is responsible for the purchase of raw materials, services, tooling, and office supplies required for the manufacture of a finished product. Purchases these items by determining the best price, quality, delivery, and inventory.
This position will serve our Rheem Parts Division, located in Fort Smith, AR, Randleman, NC or Atlanta, GA.

Bachelors degree in related field or related experience
5+ years of experience in procurement and/or purchasing
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Basic mathematical skills including the ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
Demonstrated capabilities in planning, organization, integration, and control with respect to the buying function.

Develop and maintain supply and production plans, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
Manage procurement activities including sourcing, vendor selection, issuing purchase orders, and negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels based on demand forecasts, usage trends, and service level requirements.
Identify and mitigate supply risks, proactively resolving constraints and escalating issues with appropriate urgency.
Coordinate with Assembly to plan and execute production schedules, including pre-builds to support capacity limitations and demand fluctuations.
Lead cross-functional alignment across Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to ensure execution of supply, inventory, and production plans.
Maintain and improve ERP/master data accuracy (part numbers, lead times, suppliers, moq).
Support engineering changes and new product introductions by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
Investigate and resolve invoice, receiving, and material discrepancies in partnership with Accounts Payable and Material Control.
Track and manage backorders, delivery schedules, and supplier communications to ensure continuity of supply.
Maintain documentation including purchase orders, supplier records, quality metrics (PPM), and compliance requirements.
Leverage data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel) to analyze trends, monitor KPIs, and support decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes, system parameters, and operational efficiency.
Communicate production and supply plans clearly to stakeholders and adjust plans dynamically based on changing business conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
