    Job Role and Responsibility: AMD is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist to Design, develop, test, and evaluate systems for managing industrial production of semiconductor products. Analyze freight spending and identify trends or areas of cost savings throughout production line. Reports preparation and presentation to management to develop production and supply quality control measures and procedures. Recommend the best shipment routes/agents/forwarders based on freight spends analysis and get buy-in from sites involved. Coordinate with Finance and key stakeholders to align data and resolve discrepancies. Work with AMD IT or Business Solution for reports automation or improvement requests. Planning product flow from the raw material stage, to production, to shipment. Coordinate cross functionally with teams, both in the United States and overseas, to guarantee smooth progression of workflow and production. Implementing various planning software (Excel, Rapid Response) to devise supply and production timelines. Part of a high-performance global logistics team within AMD's Product Planning operation that handles freight movement across our multiple sites and shipment to our global end customers.

    Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, or related field.

    Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

    Position requires experience in the following:

    • Semiconductor manufacturing;
    • Fab capacity planning;
    • Line management and optimizing fab performance;
    • Design and optimization of production and inventory systems;
    • Inventory optimization;
    • Articulate supply chain principles and applications; and
    • Utilizing statistics and data analysis to resolve issued related to manufacturing (scheduling, inventory management and planning).

    Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.
