Position Summary:

We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. As a Supply Chain Specialist you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the procurement of raw materials, ingredients, and components needed to produce food products. The role ensures that the right materials are available at the right time, at competitive prices, while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage direct material supply planning and procurement activities to ensure material availability, support production schedules, and maintain target inventory levels.

• Coordinate direct material contracting activities with corporate Head of Procurement, including communicating demand requirements, monitoring contract coverage

• Manage supplier relationships, including pricing discussions, order fulfillment, and contract compliance in coordination with Corporate Head of Procurement.

• Review and maintain purchasing parameters, lead times, safety stock levels in main ERP.

• Support cost savings initiatives through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, and process improvements

• Prepare purchasing reports and communicate supply risks, inventory status, and procurement activities to management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience
• Food manufacturing experience working with raw and non-raw materials (preferred)
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage 100) to manage purchase orders, inventory levels, material requirements planning (MRP), and supplier transactions.
• Working knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements
• MS Office skills (spreadsheet and word processing)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead and implement change
• Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation Range: $65,000 - $75,000

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, and other job-related qualifications/skills.
