As a Supply Chain Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring caregivers have the supplies, equipment, and resources they need to deliver exceptional care to children and families. As a Supply Chain Technician, you'll oversee the daily receipt, distribution, and management of supplies and equipment throughout the hospital and outpatient clinics.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, unload, verify, and distribute supplies across multiple departments
Transport supplies, equipment, medical records, lab specimens, blood products, and oxygen cylinders throughout the hospital and adjacent facilities
Maintain inventory levels by replenishing bedside carts, supply rooms, overhead cabinets, and operating room supplies
Perform cycle counts, rotate inventory, remove expired products, and manage overstock
Utilize inventory systems such as Workday MMIS, Par Excellence, and WD Mobile
Process stock and non-stock orders, recalls, returns, and inventory discrepancies
Clean and organize supply rooms while maintaining Joint Commission standards
Clean patient care equipment and report defective equipment or supply shortages
Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize inventory levels and improve supply workflows
Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects
Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records
Required
High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Basic computer proficiency, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience with Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS)
Experience with Workday MMIS, Par Excellence, or similar inventory systems
Previous healthcare, warehouse, logistics, inventory, or supply chain experience
Strong attention to detail
Inventory management experience
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
Comfortable using technology and inventory systems
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Adaptability and problem-solving abilities
