Supply Chain Tech

About the Role

As a Supply Chain Tech, you play a critical role in keeping the hospital running smoothly behind the scenes. From ensuring essential supplies are stocked to supporting patient care teams, your work directly impacts the quality of care patients receive every day.

What You’ll Do

Supply & Inventory Management

  • Receive, verify, and distribute medical supplies across hospital and clinic areas
  • Maintain inventory levels by restocking carts, cabinets, and supply rooms
  • Monitor for expired items, manage overstock, and perform cycle counts

Transport & Logistics

  • Safely transport supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the hospital
  • Handle items such as oxygen tanks, lab specimens, and medical records
  • Support timely delivery to ensure uninterrupted patient care

Organization & Compliance

  • Keep supply rooms clean, organized, and audit-ready
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and Joint Commission requirements

Systems & Technology

  • Use inventory systems (e.g., Workday MMIS, Par Excellence) to manage orders and inventory
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies and support recalls or returns

Team Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with clinical teams to optimize supply usage and workflows
  • Assist with training and mentoring new team members
  • Contribute to process improvements and departmental initiatives

What You Bring

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience

  • Experience with inventory or supply chain systems preferred
  • Healthcare or hospital experience is a plus

Skills & Strengths

  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability and problem-solving mindset
