Job Type: 24-month contract, W2 

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week, OT may be required 

Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm 

Pay Range: $25.00 per hour 

Job Description:  

Position Summary 

The Supply Management Planner I is responsible for supporting supply chain planning and material management activities to ensure the timely availability of purchased materials and components. This role works closely with suppliers on scheduling, delivery performance, inventory management, and logistics processes while supporting overall supply chain efficiency. The position assists with supplier performance monitoring, inventory control, procurement activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Execute supply chain planning activities within established systems and procedures to support material availability and operational requirements. 

• Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding schedule releases, delivery commitments, and material replenishment requirements. 

• Monitor supplier performance and investigate supply or delivery issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions as needed. 

• Support inventory management activities, including inventory monitoring, replenishment planning, and verification of material quantities, quality, and availability. 

• Analyze procurement and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 

• Research market conditions, supplier capabilities, cost drivers, and alternative sourcing options to support strategic decision-making. 

• Assist with contract performance tracking and provide data to support supplier negotiations and contract renewals. 

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate meetings, actions, and supply chain-related initiatives. 

• Contribute to process improvement efforts by reviewing current operations and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and performance. 

• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and support logistics and material management system activities. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience. 

• Experience supporting supply chain, procurement, inventory management, logistics, or material planning functions. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations. 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience working with ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems. 

• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and logistics operations. 

• Understanding of inventory control principles and replenishment planning. 

• Experience analyzing supplier performance metrics and supply chain data.
