    Description

    Duration: 24+ months

    Requirements

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve quality and delivery performance
    • Support multi-functional procurement teams responsible for commodity management activities in Quality, Delivery, and Cost
    • Support the negotiation of supply agreements as needed
    • Independently analyze supply chain data using established tools and formats to support decision-making and continuous improvement
    • Lead initiatives to resolve chronic supplier issues
    • Develop and monitor supplier and part inventory plans to mitigate supplier risk while maintaining goal level assets

    What Skills You Need

    • 2 or more years of experience in Materials Management or relevant work experience in Supply Management, Material Flow, or Production Planning
    • 2 or more years of demonstrated experience in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
    • 2 or more years of experience in the ability to manage responsibilities simultaneously and shift priorities as needed in situations with high stress, impact, or criticality, while demonstrating skills of organization and prioritization

    Major Purpose

    Supports and may lead a commodity Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for enterprise/region/division/unit. Builds and develops a supply base for procuring less complex and strategic materials, products, supplies and services. Responsible for quality, delivery, supplier performance and establishing appropriate material replenishment process. Coordinates and leads efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validation of suppliers during the early supplier selection process as part of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (PDP). Facilitates the quality planning activities with suppliers.

    Major Duties

    • Execute, in a supply chain of low complexity, planning activities within a defined framework/system that mainly affect own organization/unit.
    • Carry out a range of supplier management activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.
    • Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
    • Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
    • Plan and coordinate testing and inspection of products and processes. Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives and monitor them to make sure they are effective.
    • Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.
    • Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
    • Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.
    • Produce, update, and provide best practice support on complex Microsoft documents, databases, and other departmental systems, advising colleagues as needed and using expertise to help improve processes.
