About the Role
<\/div>
The Industrial Supply Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and profitability of Industrial Supply in Juneau, Alaska. This role requires a hands -on approach, combining team leadership with inventory management, freight operations, technical product sales, and direct customer service across a broad range of industrial product lines.
<\/div>

<\/div>
The Manager will enhance the industrial supply experience for a diverse customer base, including local hospitals, welding shops, marine, mining, fabrication, and other industrial customers. This role is responsible for keeping the store well -stocked, safe, efficient, and positioned for continued growth.
<\/div>
Success in this position requires a versatile operator who is comfortable managing people, using an ERP system, fabricating hydraulic hoses at the counter, unloading freight, and supporting customers directly.

<\/div>
Leadership and Team Management
<\/div>
Supervise and develop a team of four: one Assistant Manager and three Counter / Customer Service staff, including scheduling, coaching, performance management, and training.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Set the standard for customer service, product knowledge, safety, and store presentation.
<\/div>
Build a culture consistent with employee -owned (ESOP) values of accountability and ownership.
<\/div>
Inventory, Purchasing, and ERP
<\/div>
Order and manage stock in the company ERP system (Point of Rental), maintaining appropriate inventory levels across all product lines while minimizing stock -outs and overstock.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Create and maintain accurate part numbers, pricing, and vendor records.
<\/div>
Order and receive freight; verify counts, reconcile receipts, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and carriers.
<\/div>
Freight and Logistics
<\/div>

<\/div>
Load and unload freight, including container and barge shipments common to Southeast Alaska.
<\/div>
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, delivery scheduling, and freight documentation.
<\/div>
Product Lines, Sales, and Fabrication
<\/div>

<\/div>
Compressed and industrial gasses: order, manage, and deliver gasses to the local hospital and to welding and industrial shops; ensure proper handling, cylinder tracking, and DOT -compliant transport (49 CFR).
<\/div>
Metals: order, receive, stock, and sell metal in various thicknesses, sheets, and bars for fabrication customers.
<\/div>
Parker hydraulic hoses: order, receive, sell, and fabricate hydraulic hose assemblies to spec for a range of applications.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Boss Snowplows: order, sell, and support Boss plows and associated parts and accessories.
<\/div>
General industrial supply: stock shelves, merchandise the store, and drive counter and account sales across the full product mix.
<\/div>
Operations, Safety, and Compliance
<\/div>
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized store and yard in compliance with company Health and Safety policies and applicable regulations.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Maintain compliance for hazardous materials handling, storage, and transportation of compressed gasses.
<\/div>
Monitor branch performance, control costs, and contribute to gross margin and growth targets.
<\/div>
Perform other duties as assigned to support the branch and the company.
<\/div><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
Proven experience in industrial supply, distribution, equipment, or a related trade / operations environment.
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing a team.
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems and standard business software.
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands -on work, including hydraulic hose fabrication and freight handling.
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a forklift and delivery vehicles (certification provided or supported).
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in a physically active warehouse and counter environment.
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem -solving skills.
<\/div>
• Experience with compressed / industrial gas handling and DOT hazardous materials requirements.
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Familiarity with hydraulic hose assembly (Parker or equivalent), metals, or fabrication supply.
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Knowledge of Southeast Alaska freight, barge logistics, and the local trades / marine / mining customer base.
<\/div>

<\/div>
• Experience in a P&L or branch -level accountability role.
<\/div>
