Supply Network Planner (Buffalo, NY)

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Supply Network Planner to join our team on a temporary contract (6–9 months). In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing weekly and long-range (3–18 month) production and inventory requirements across multiple manufacturing facilities. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth operations, supporting new product launches, and managing seasonal demand.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage capacity planning models for 3–5 manufacturing facilities
  • Lead monthly Supply Agreement processes to support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
  • Define inventory planning and production scheduling parameters for execution by Master Production Schedulers
  • Optimize working capital investments (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) to achieve lowest total delivered cost
  • Prepare monthly S&OP workbooks for Product Business Teams
  • Partner with Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) to support inventory, transportation, warehousing, and customer service needs
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of inventory policies to minimize spoilage, maximize service levels, and improve turns
  • Analyze supply chain costs and recommend improvements to reduce overall delivered cost
  • Manage inventory for selected contract manufactured products
  • Develop and execute warehouse strategies aligned with Distribution Center S&OP processes

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain planning, fulfillment planning, or related roles
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Supply chain or fulfillment planning (perishable/short shelf-life materials preferred)
  • Advanced planning systems within ERP environments
  • Financial analysis related to supply chain operations
  • Network modeling or similar analytical planning methods
