My name is Shannon, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group.  We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Inventory Manager for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in ­­100% Remote.  Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

Duration: 6.5 months

Pay: $40-42/hr.

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager with a background in CPG/FMCG inventory management to oversee finished goods inventory across contract manufacturers (Co-Mans), third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and direct-to-consumer (D2C) operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing finished goods transactions and purchase orders, supporting inventory reconciliation and close processes, and driving actions to reduce aged and obsolete inventory.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Excel, experienced with NetSuite or a similar ERP system, and comfortable working cross-functionally with Logistics, Finance, Production Planning, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the deployment of finished goods to 3PLs and maintain accurate inventory records across all locations, including Co-Mans, 3PLs, and D2C.
• Manage inventory transactions required to convert materials into finished goods, including cycle count verification and physical inventory counts.
• Manage finished goods PO issuance and receiving processes.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of daily inventory transactions in NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Drive inventory accuracy and visibility through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Plan and monitor finished goods transfer orders and inventory rebalancing activities.
• Partner with Logistics to ensure effective communication and timely execution of inventory transfers and deliveries.
• Monitor inventory at the location level and identify potential shortage risks in partnership with Production Planning/Scheduling.
• Lead reconciliation of invoices with Accounts Receivable.
• Support month-end and quarter-end inventory close activities, including planning and execution.
• Ensure accurate new item setup and Bill of Materials (BOM) creation in NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Manage aged inventory reporting and develop actions to reduce aged and obsolete finished goods and raw materials.
• Lead the inventory accrual process, including disposition activities such as liquidation, donation, and destruction.
• Support finance tracking related to obsolete inventory accruals.
• Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, visibility, and overall inventory management processes.

Required Qualifications

• CPG/FMCG inventory management experience required.
• College degree or 2+ years of relevant experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or a similar field.
• Experience managing finished goods inventory across 3PLs, contract manufacturers, and/or D2C operations.
• Experience with finished goods PO issuance and receiving processes.
• Experience maintaining inventory accuracy and managing inventory transactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Experience with new item setup and BOM creation/maintenance in an ERP system.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize business-critical inventory issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Results-oriented and process-driven with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and analyze inventory data.
