Supply Planner
Location : East Hanover, NJ 07936
Pay rate : $40/hr, paid weekly
Work schedule : Hybrid, Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

The Temporary Supply Planner plays a pivotal, hands-on role on the Supply Planning team, contributing directly to daily logistics operations and key commercial initiatives. This position focuses on building short- and long-term production plans, assessing manufacturing capacity against market demand, and identifying service risks using analytical tools. The planner works in close alignment with plant teams and cross-functional partners to optimize production schedules, mitigate inventory waste, and provide coverage support during new system implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Risk Mitigation : Lead Daily Management System (DMS) meetings; actively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve potential product service risks using advanced analytics dashboards and APO.
Core Supply Planning : Maintain and execute day-to-day supply planning tasks, including generating weekly short-term (0 13 weeks) production schedules and long-range (rolling 12-month) operational plans.
Capacity & Schedule Optimization : Assess facility manufacturing capacity to reliably support demand forecasts, collaborating directly with plant teams to optimize production schedules.
Commercial Collaboration : Participate in commercialization and cross-functional project meetings, representing the Supply Planning department to track key follow-ups for new product launches, product transitions, and item optimizations.
Continuous Improvement : Leverage dashboards and planning systems to improve corporate waste identification, develop mitigation strategies, and run efficiency reporting to support broader supply chain strategies.
Team & System Support : Utilize current and newly introduced supply planning tools to plan production; provide strategic operational coverage for the core planning team as they undergo system training.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
Analytical Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decisive decision-making capabilities.
Software & Systems : Proficiency (or the ability to learn quickly) in major enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and advanced planning platforms.
Advanced Excel : Mastery of advanced Excel functions for data manipulation and supply modeling.
Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across a matrixed manufacturing and business network.
Travel : Limited travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior exposure to data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is highly preferred.
Direct supply chain experience operating within a large Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) corporate environment.
Education & Experience
Education : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field required.
Experience : 2+ years of professional experience in supply planning, inventory management, or a highly similar operational role.
