The Fountain Group is currently seeking a --------Supply Planner for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in --Vista, CA.  Details for the position are as follows:

Title: Supply Planning Specialist
Location: Vista, CA
Pay: $35–48/hr
Duration: 6 Months

Job description

The Supply Planning Specialist will support global supply and demand planning operations for biologics/plasma manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for developing and executing supply and capacity plans to ensure material and product availability while optimizing inventory, production throughput, and on-time delivery performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain MTS/MTO supply plans at SKU level while balancing manufacturing constraints, lead times, WIP inventory, intercompany transfers, regulatory requirements, lot sizes, and forecast variability.
  • Execute capacity planning for manufacturing operations, including planned/unplanned downtime analysis, throughput optimization, and production constraint management.
  • Analyze supply and demand data to identify bottlenecks, capacity risks, and inventory gaps; develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Maintain detailed batch allocation forecasts and coordinate supply priorities across manufacturing and commercial teams.
  • Support production planning execution and provide alternative supply strategies during demand or supply deviations.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and Global Supply Planning teams on product launches, component changes, and process flow updates.
  • Drive SAP planning and inventory management activities, including BOM setup/modifications, validation batches, and process changes.
  • Generate KPI reporting, supply analytics, and scenario planning models for leadership reviews.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of SAP planning functionality and reporting tools.
  • Operate within cGMP-regulated biological/pharmaceutical manufacturing environments while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
