Job Summary:
We are seeking a Supply Planning Transformation Specialist to support a major supply chain transformation within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This is a supply/production planning and supply chain transformation role — this is NOT a procurement or purchasing position.
The specialist will help manufacturing sites transition from existing planning processes and systems into a new Target Operating Model (TOM). Responsibilities include assessing current-state processes, identifying gaps, supporting planning-system migration and implementation, improving planning processes, and helping teams adopt new ways of working.
Must Have Skills:
- 5 - 8+ years of Supply Chain / Supply Planning / Production Planning experience
- Strong Supply Planning and Production Planning background
- Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
- Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS)
- MRP / Material Requirements Planning
- Experience with SAP, Blue Yonder/JDA, or similar planning systems
- Experience with S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)
- Supply chain transformation, planning-system implementation, migration, or process transformation experience
- Manufacturing experience; pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing strongly preferred
- Experience with capacity planning, bottleneck scheduling, resource allocation, rough-cut capacity planning, inventory planning, and production scheduling
- Strong change management, stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
- Ability to influence non-direct reports and work across multiple sites/functions
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/support deployment of a new Supply Planning Target Operating Model (TOM)
- Assess current-state planning processes, systems, data, and capabilities
- Identify gaps and develop future-state planning processes
- Support planning-system implementation, integration, migration, and process transformation
- Develop and improve MPS, APS, MRP, supply planning, production planning, and S&OP processes
- Analyze capacity, materials, inventory, production schedules, bottlenecks, and resource requirements
- Support change management, training, and adoption of new processes and tools
- Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Demand Planning, Procurement/Materials, and Site Leadership
- Track implementation milestones, KPIs, risks, and issues
- Drive continuous improvement and sustainable adoption of new planning processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field
- Pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing experience
- Experience with SAP, Blue Yonder/JDA, APS, MRP, or other advanced planning systems
- Experience with S&OP transformation, ERP implementation, planning-system migration, or Target Operating Model deployment
- Experience working with U.S. and international/multi-site teams
- Previous experience leading transformation or change initiatives without direct authority
