Job Description

Pay Range: $20.00hr - $27.40hr

Job Overview:

This position supports the implementation of lean supply management principles within the laboratory network, including materials and supplies movement and replenishment to the point of use in the laboratory. The candidate performs cycle counts and daily replenishment routines, interacting with laboratory staff and supply analysts to assure material availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute standard business processes for managing material flow for all facility types in the assigned region, including laboratories, RRL, PSC, and IOP.
  • Participate in internal work teams focused on the continuous improvement of supply replenishment processes, with emphasis on overall cost and cycle time reduction.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory and cycle counts to assure the accuracy of on-hand inventories.
  • Maintain visual management tools, such as Kanban, and mistake-proofing initiatives such as labels with photos.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, or supply chain.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems is desired.
  • The candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to interact well with all levels of staff.
  • Efficient planning and organizing skills are required.
  • Good math skills are required.
  • The candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, and Visio is highly desirable.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
