Job Title: Supply & Services Procurement Manager

Location: Piscataway, NJ Or Overland Park, KS

Pay Rate: $63.72 per hour, W 2

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

• Work Hours - Mon - Fri - 4 days onsite and 1 day remote
  Shift - 1st

• Travel Required: Travel 20% of time

• Looking for more solid procurement fundamentals and category management. 
• Contract negotiation in commercial terms. Needs a strong negotiator.
• With the feedback, we sent more resumes based on this and seemed positive but then came back kind of deflated.
• Really needs also someone with stakeholder experience. Not looking for Senior Executive Leads.
• Wants to target a mid-Career profile.
• Wants a mix of an Operational Buyer and Executive.
• We really want someone local but if someone is willing to relocate at own expense as client will not pay for any relocation, they may accept but needs to be clear on the resume. That is fine. We may expand our search.
• Possible Temp To Perm.
• Not looking for resumes that are 20+years. We need someone in mid years, so like 4– 10 years.
• Open to any kind of industry.
• Not looking for someone who can’t articulate clearly and quickly. To answer a question about specific experience, should be able to translate within a couple of sentences, not 5+ minutes answering. We are not looking for that.
• Main location is we like someone in Piscataway and the other location is just in case we have no one to fill that first location.
• Corporate experience/understanding in order to mitigate the risks.

Summary:

• Serve as the embedded commercial partner to the Pet Nutrition Engineering and Plant Operations teams.
• Drive maximum asset utilization and long-term capital efficiency.
• Guide teams through advanced risk management, strategic commercial structuring, and collaborative negotiations.
• Optimize the entire lifecycle of service and goods purchases, including capital equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a seamless extension of the plant teams, participating early in capital planning.
• Structure agreements focusing on asset utilization, ensuring maximum machinery performance.
• Author and negotiate comprehensive after-sales support frameworks and performance guarantees.
• Secure long-term contractual spare parts availability and critical technical support response times.
• Demonstrate deep structural knowledge of commercial law and risk allocation.
• Translate complex manufacturing timelines into legally enforceable contractual deadlines.
• Drive a culture of process modernization across plant environments.
• Lead executive-level Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs with global OEMs.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in procurement, capital sourcing, or heavy manufacturing project engineering.
• Hands-on experience structuring, negotiating, and executing high-value capital equipment contracts.
• Proven ability to interpret complex specifications and project schedules.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior procurement or engineering leadership experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Success in leading large-scale capital or infrastructure optimization projects.
• Hands-on experience with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Sigma, and Ironclad (CLM).
• Full proficiency collaborating within a Google Workspace environment.
