Are you looking to expand your medical office experience? Dayton Physicians Network is seeking a PRN (as-needed) Support Associate - Front Office to join our Oncology team. This position is based primarily at our Englewood location, with the opportunity to float to other office locations as needed.
Summary:
The Front Office Support Associate provides support to all functions within the medical office. Duties to include, but are not limited to: answer and route incoming calls; patient check in and out; collect co-payments/deductibles; update patient demographic information, schedule appointments; pull, file, scan medical records; various administrative tasks as required.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- PRN (as-needed) position
- No evenings, weekends, or holidays
- Work-life balance focused scheduling

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer and route incoming calls;
- Obtains, verifies and updates patient demographic information;
- Collects and records co-payments and/or deductibles;
- Verifies charts contain all necessary paperwork;
- Schedules return appointments, as required;
- Scans medical records for EMR as needed or requested;
- Ensures patient waiting area is free from trash and clutter;
- Assists other office support positions as needed or requested;
- Follow all health care privacy and safety rules and adheres to Dayton Physicians Core Values;
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/ or Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED. At least one (1) year of previous experience working in a Medical Office or administrative position, 2-3 years' experience is preferred.
General Skill Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience working with a Practice Management system.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position to provide excellent customer service to both our internal and external stakeholders.
