POSITION SUMMARY:
Receptionist work at the Nampa Family Justice Center (NFJC) includes multiple elements but is not limited to: Assisting victims of domestic violence (DV), sexual assault (SA), child abuse (CA), elder abuse (EA), stalking, and sex trafficking (ST) with supportive services. Receptionist is stationed at our front desk and is the first contact for those seeking services at the NFJC. Receptionist checks clients in, provides them with necessary paperwork, triages emergent cases, and connects them with either an advocate or the appropriate partner agency. Receptionist will answer incoming calls, work well with partner agencies, and see to the need and safety of everyone that enters the NFJC building. Client Support Receptionist Supervisor will assist with these tasks and ensure all tasks are completed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- The Receptionist Supervisor will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures, to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Be responsible for managing office services by ensuring office operations and procedures are organized, correspondences are controlled, filing systems are designed, supply requisitions are reviewed and approved.
- Oversees front office staff, to ensure all clerical functions are running smoothly and properly.
- Welcome visitors with a smile in a warm and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner.
- Maintain a clean and tidy reception area, front lobby area and all common areas always.
- Direct and assist all those who enter the NFJC building and monitor those in the lobby.
- Monitor and oversee the children's play center when children are present.
- Know the safety protocol for emergency situations.
- Unlocking front door at beginning of workday; locking front door at end of workday.
- Ensure front lobby door (past bullet proof glass) is always closed.
- Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computer.
- Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail and Complete checklist of daily task provided by supervisor.
- Take inventory of supplies and let supervisor know of what is needed.
- Conduct initial screening to assess the client's needs; refers clients to appropriate partners at the NFJC and other programs/agencies.
- Take initiative to coordinate and prepare materials to achieve orientation, exit, general employee and manager experience excellence.
- Input client data in Care-Net System.
- Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions and review publications as directed by supervisor.
- Maintain ongoing interaction with supervisor, to include articulation of any question or concerns.
- Ensure that all services are maintained in accordance with agency's mission and goals.
- Adhere to all NFJC policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
- 3 years experience and/or any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Skill in using personal computers and MS Office Suite.
- Skill communicating verbally and in writing.
- Ability to Reason: Must be able to confront and solve practical issues and problems. These can arise in a variety of situations. Must be able to remain calm in high-risk situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions.
