Position Overview
Burke is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Support Staff member to join our Angelina Mental Health Clinic in Lufkin, TX. This role serves as a key point of contact for consumers, visitors, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front office environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality while supporting clinical and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls appropriately
- Provide information and respond to inquiries regarding Burke services
- Deliver excellent customer service with professional phone and in-person communication
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with agency policies
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Process, scan, and organize documentation
- Assist with office operations, including managing supplies, equipment, and vehicles
- Support the Administrative Manager with data collection and report preparation
- Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience:
- At least 1 year of consecutive general office or receptionist experience
- Basic computer proficiency
Licensure:
- Valid Texas Driver's License (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of receptionist or office experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Some college coursework in Human Services or a related field
- Experience in a medical or mental health setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medication management
- Bilingual skills (strongly preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs (charts, supplies, equipment)
- Sufficient visual and auditory skills for communication and computer use
- Fine motor skills for typing and written documentation
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
