Position Overview:
Support Staff provides administrative support to the office which is helpful in running the department smoothly. They work under the supervision of a manager. The Support Staff performs administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, greeting visitors, providing information to calls, compiling statistics, reporting as needed and relieving leadership staff of clerical work and minor administrative details. They are also responsible for typing correspondences, making copies, preparing mail, maintaining files, taking minutes, and preparing spreadsheets.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation
Prepare, process, and track paperwork
Coordinate and schedule meetings, events, and communications
Support day-to-day office operations, including filing, correspondence, and administrative tasks
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
Provide general support for special projects, reporting, and other initiatives as needed
To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience within the field of interest. Candidates must have an updated copy of their resume, a High School Diploma, GED, GCE or College Degree, two recent professional references including their full mailing addresses and telephone number (references will be verified) and proof of employment eligibility. Candidates must NOT have previously interviewed with 1199 or attended an 1199 orientation (all candidates will be cross-referenced with the 1199 database prior to the orientation).
