Job Description

The Support Technician will handle job responsibilities ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite / on-call assistance to end-users within the organization's desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot computer operating systems and peripherals to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Handle various PC operating systems, including Windows 7, 8, and 10, with proficiency.
• Install and configure hardware and software to meet organizational requirements.
• Provide comprehensive printer support, addressing maintenance and repair needs as they arise.
• Demonstrate superior customer service skills, fostering positive interactions with end-users.
• Utilize experience to support a diverse range of technologies and services effectively.
• Manage time and resources effectively to meet or exceed expectations for task completion.
• Collaborate with IT team members to implement network upgrades and enhancements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on technology-related topics.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized, with a passion for delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Self-motivated and innovative, with a drive to push boundaries and explore new solutions.
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical capability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces
• Proficiency in Office 365 applications and familiarity with Apple OS preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Extended Sitting: Primarily desk-based with prolonged computer use.
• Light Lifting: Occasional handling of objects up to 20 pounds.
• Computer Use: Frequent operation of computers and office equipment, requiring manual dexterity.
• Eye Strain and Repetitive Motion: Risk from continuous screen use and repetitive tasks like typing.
• Office Navigation: Light walking and standing for meetings and tasks within the office.
