Supported Employment Specialist

About the role

As an IPS Specialist in North Powys, you will deliver personalised employment support through the Connect to Work Mid Wales programme. Working with local health teams and employers, you will help people experiencing mental health and other complex barriers secure meaningful paid employment. You will manage a caseload, develop vocational profiles, carry out rapid job searches and provide ongoing in-work support across rural communities.

About you - A passion for helping people overcome barriers and achieve meaningful, sustainable employment. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants, health teams and employers. - A person-centred, strengths-based and non-judgemental approach.

• Strong organisation skills to manage a varied caseload, meet targets and maintain accurate records. - Confidence engaging employers, identifying suitable opportunities and promoting inclusive recruitment. - Resilience, flexibility and the ability to work independently across rural North Powys

communities.

What you will do - Manage a caseload of participants receiving support through Connect to Work Mid Wales. - Work alongside local health teams to identify and engage people who want to move into employment. - Complete vocational profiles and develop personalised employment action plans. - Carry out rapid job searches and engage employers to identify suitable paid opportunities. - Support participants with applications, interviews, workplace adjustments and overcoming barriers. - Provide ongoing in-work support to help participants sustain employment

Salary: Grade 8 Point 19 to Point 22 £33,119 to £34,811 per annum £17.16 to £18.04 per hour
