We are seeking an experienced Suppression Technician to join our growing team. This full-time, on-site role focuses on the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire suppression systems throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of fire codes and system requirements.
Responsibilities
• Install, inspect, test, service, and maintain fire suppression systems, including:
• Commercial kitchen hood suppression systems
• Hazmat suppression systems
• Firetrace automatic fire suppression systems
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system deficiencies and malfunctions
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, local fire codes, AHJ requirements, and manufacturer specifications
• Accurately complete service reports, inspection documentation, and deficiency notices
• Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent on-site service
• Coordinate with team members to meet job schedules and project requirements
Qualifications
• Proven experience with fire suppression systems (kitchen hood, hazmat, and/or Firetrace preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and testing skills
• Working knowledge of NFPA standards, fire codes, and AHJ requirements
• Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and manufacturer documentation
• High attention to detail and strong safety awareness
• Physical ability to perform field-based work and operate tools and equipment
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally
• Fire protection certifications (NICET, manufacturer certifications, etc.) are a plus

Pay: $58,240.00 - $79,040.00 per year
