Position at Palomar Health

Description

Supervisor to oversee the advanced imaging modalities such as Nuclear Medicine, Cat Scan, MRI, and Ultrasound. This oversight will be for all Palomar Health locations. Primarily responsible for the daily activities of the department to facilitate a smooth work flow and effective communication processes among caregivers. Ensure the delivery of quality, timely and efficient services in Imaging. May be required to cover patient care shifts in cases of emergencies or urgent departmental needs and be able to perform diagnostic medical procedures if needed, with a thorough understanding of any of the advanced imaging modalities. Assist the Manager or Director of Imaging Services in budget preparation, contribute in the Balanced Scorecard updates, etc. Represent the department in the absence of the Manager or Director of Imaging Services at leadership meetings and other leadership activities throughout the district. Primary work areas include, but are not limited to: Imaging, Surgical Services, Emergency Department, etc. Familiar working within an electronic PACS environment. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
