    Job Title: SUPV I PLATING

    Job Description:

    Job Overview

    Monitors and coordinates the activities of the plating team, prepares schedules, resolves issues, and ensures adherence to quality standards.

    Job Requirements

    • Lead and supervise shift operations of reel-to-reel plating lines.
    • Ensure adherence to production schedules, throughput targets, and delivery commitments.
    • Monitor plating parameters such as current density, line speed, bath chemistry, temperature, and ph.
    • Ensure correct setup and changeover of plating reels and materials.
    • Minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
    • Coordinate with maintenance team for equipment downtime and preventive maintenance.
    • Perform first-level troubleshooting of plating line issues (electrical, mechanical, chemical).
    • Ensure plating tanks, rectifiers, pumps, filters, and dosing systems are functioning properly.
    • Ensure plating thickness, adhesion, and surface quality meet specifications.
    • Monitor and control bath chemistry (Ni, Sn, Au, Ag) with regular analysis and adjustments.
    • Identify and troubleshoot defects
    • Collaborate with QA and engineering teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
    • Lead, allocate, and supervise operators and technicians during shift.
    • Conduct shift briefings and task assignments.
    • Train and mentor operators in plating processes, quality standards, and safety practices.
    • Monitor team performance and discipline.
    • Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations.
    • Enforce safe handling of chemicals (acids, cyanides, metal salts).
    • Ensure use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures.
    • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, yield, and cost efficiency.
    • Support process optimization and new product introduction (NPI).

    Skill Set and Profile

    • Strong knowledge of electroplating processes (Ni, Sn, Au, Ag)
    • Understanding of plating systems, SAP
    • Process troubleshooting and problem-solving
    • Leadership, Training team and team management
    • Analytical thinking and decision-making
    • Knowledge of quality control tools
    • Good communication and reporting skills
    • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives on the shop floor.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Education: BSc, Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical.
    • Experience: 5 years in electroplating or surface finishing and At least 2 years in a supervisory/shift leader role.
