Position Summary
Directs daily transportation service operations to ensure employees have appropriate equipment and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
Education/Training
High school graduate or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification
If required for area must complete and maintain certification in:
BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification.
National Child Passenger Safety Certification (CPS) by Safe Kids USA – renewed every two years.
Experience
Four (4) years of directly related work experience. An Associate’s degree may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required
experience.
Essential Functions
Participates in the management of operational budgets and other resources needed to ensure quality patient care, safe work practices, support the facility to meet operational strategy needs, enhance productivity and revenue, and decrease expenses.
Models exemplary customer service and recovery skills and holds team members accountable to these standards.
Understands all intricate aspects of patient transport and equipment distribution.
Maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Participates in the interview process and screening of new hires while encouraging and providing peer interview opportunities for team members.
Achieves effective communication and facilitates cooperative and collaborative relationships among disciplines/ departments to ensure effective delivery of services.
Plans, schedules, and assigns team members to the daily workflow.
Demonstrates and encourages initiative and creativity to continuously improve services, departmental and interdepartmental processes, and any other activities that affect quality.
Participates in providing continuing education, orientation, and training including annual Joint Commission in-services and BLS certification.
