Position Purpose:
The Supervisor, Receiving is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the receiving department, ensuring accurate and timely receipt of goods, compliance with safety and quality standards, and effective coordination of receiving personnel.
Major Functional Responsibilities:
- Supervise receiving associates, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor receiving activities to ensure accurate counts, proper documentation, and compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate unloading of incoming shipments, inspect trailers, and verify product quality and labeling.
- Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols; conduct safety checks and enforce PPE compliance.
- Collaborate with inventory and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Lead damage control efforts and manage returns or rejections of non-compliant goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving docks and staging areas.
- Support system data entry for received goods and ensure timely updates to inventory systems.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements for receiving operations.
- Serve as point of contact for escalated issues and communicate effectively across departments.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed and ensure shift handovers are properly documented.

Schedules and confirms all receiving appointments. Coordinates movement of products moving to serve production needs. Observes all safety regulations and ensures all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.
Provides administrative support for this area including the communication, paperwork and system data entry. Answers questions and solves receiving issues based on extensive receiving and company specific knowledge. Assists with training. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
