Produce and retain profitable Construction Surety book of business by underwriting new and renewal business, building and maintaining productive relationships with agents and brokers, and achieving budgeted financial results.
 
Activities:
 
• Manage submission and underwriting process for agency plant.
 
• Determine whether accounts are within underwriting appetite and make recommendations to senior underwriters.
 
• Assess risk and underwrite routine, small to mid-size renewals and new business items within underwriting authority; may underwrite moderately complex accounts and risks.
 
• Input financials and calculate key ratios to support pricing, capacity, terms and conditions on moderately complex accounts.
 
• Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and information.
 
• Manage flow of new and renewal business.
 
• Identify and drive new business opportunities by continually prospecting.
