Operates automatic SMT assembly equipment to produce high-quality complex printed circuit board assemblies. Responsible for set-up, operation, and routine maintenance of equipment. Manually or semi-automatically screens and applies solder paste, dispenses adhesives, and loads components from tubes or reels onto feeders and placement machines. May hand place SMT components and place assembled boards into reflow ovens. Uses standard hand tools such as solder, flux, and adhesive. Reads drawings and visual aids to identify defects and ensure quality.
