Surface Treatment Operations Technician

Step into the heart of advanced manufacturing, where your hands transform materials that power aerospace, energy, semiconductor, automotive, and industrial breakthroughs. Whether you prefer days or nights, you’ll join a team devoted to precision surface technologies—coatings, platings, and finishes that elevate performance worldwide.

Your first weeks on the floor

No experience? We’ll teach you. You’ll learn to read job instructions and standard operating procedures, then move through a variety of stations:

  • Carry out production operations that include coating, blasting, masking, plating, and chamber runs—always in line with documented procedures.
  • Inspect parts and materials at multiple stages to spot defects, contamination, damage, or any nonconformance—and take the right corrective steps or escalate as needed.
  • Load and unload customer hardware and materials using the appropriate tools and equipment while upholding strict safety and quality standards.
  • Keep equipment, benches, and surrounding areas clean; handle basic upkeep; and promptly report equipment concerns to leadership.
  • Record required production data, complete job routers and quality records, and raise nonconformances through the designated reporting channels.
  • Pitch in across departments as priorities shift, taking on additional tasks or small projects to meet production demand.

Schedule and shift details

  • Our team follows a Monday–Friday alternating 2/2/3 rotation.
  • 12-hour shifts: 7:30 to 7:30 for both day and night schedules.
  • Be ready to support production needs with overtime, and occasionally on weekends or holidays if required.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Comfort following work instructions, technical procedures, and safety practices.
  • Proficiency with mechanical assembly skills.
  • Flexibility to work shift schedules and additional hours as business needs evolve.
