Surg Tech CVOR – Travel Job

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Glendale, CA at a hospital. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during cardiac procedures. You will ensure patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and providing intraoperative support to the surgical team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). This may be listed as Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR surgical technologist in a cardiac surgical environment.
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system.
• Willingness and ability to accept on-call responsibilities.
• Ability to float to other facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-acuity cardiac operating room supporting a full range of cardiac procedures.
• Experience with 10-hour surgical shifts and end-of-week (EOW) call rotations.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 4x10 (ten-hour shifts).
• Call required. End-of-week rotation.
• First to float.
• Orientation: 12 hours.
