Total weekly gross: $2, 096/week

W2: $16/hr
Per Diem/Stipend: $1, 520/weekly non taxable

General Information
12 ORs (Run 11 daily), 12th hybrid
40-50 cases per day
Experience: 2 years of acute/inpatient OR experience
If less than 2 years with strong OR experience, please email NM Brenda Aragon for approval
First Time Traveler: No
Make sure that the hospitals are comparable and ensure that they have worked the shift they are submitted for
Patient Types:
Minimal Peds (typically ENT)
Required: STRONG experience in ortho, sports medicine, spine, robotics (Davinci)
Adult: ENT(Thyroid), General, Ortho spine, Ortho (must have total joint experience), Gyn, vascular (AV fistula, Fem Pops), urology, podiatry
No open heart, transplants, high-level neuro procedures (EVDs)
Anesthesia Tech: see required skills
Certifications:
RN: BLS
ORT: BLS, CST (certification for ST is not required in WA state. This is a preferred credential. However, state registration for surgical tech is required)
Anesthesia Tech: BLS, ASATT certification
Skills required:
RN: Circulate only, experienced in above cases
ORT: Scrub, experience in above cases
Anesthesia Tech: will need to support anesthesia with robotics, A-line management, ranger, massive transfusions, blood warmer, intubation, track cart, and anesthesia machine
Preferred: Robotic experience (Robotic Mazer/DaVinci XI)
Flexibility, teamwork oriented, reliability, and good attitude
Floating: (see below for Anesthesia Tech)
If there are low census in the OR the OR leadership team will assign you to float to
Inpatient areas (MS, ICU, PCU, ED Holding, PACU, etc.)
ED
Will not take a patient assignment
Will not have to administer medications
Will work within scope of practice for ORT/OR RN
Will be assigned to be helping hands or tasker/runner

Simple tasks that basic CNAs and RNs can do
Anesthesia Tech: will be required to move around to support IR, Cath Lab, OB, GI, and MRI- this is part of their role

Epic (Required for CAP backfills/preceptors)

Must be available to work 7 days a week (unless approved by NM)
RTO: Able to approve up to 5 days;additional days email NM Brenda Aragon
RTO, must be willing to add missed days at the end of the contract
Shift time will vary based on department needs (will not change daily, possibly weekly)
Start time could remain the same throughout the contract
Shift Times:
12h Days: 1030-2300
Will be expected to work occasional weekends as determined by department needs
On-Call for ORT/RNs:
Add to offer email that you have confirmed on call status with the candidate.
4-6 shifts/6 week
Nights: 2230-0700
Weekends: Hours TBD based on staffing (about 4-8h)
Additional information from NM: Call: Yes. First, the call is 4-6 shifts in a 6-weeks’schedule period and not in a month. Calls can include nights and weekends.
Weekend: Weekend hours TBD is not call. If I have a need in the department for a weekend and he will work potential weekends depending on department needs. It would be working and not call.
Response Time:
30 mins required
No sleep rooms
Anesthesia Tech: scheduling - 6a or 830a start (8hrs). Mon-Fri. Call required-only weekends. 2-3 weekends of 6-week schedule
Orientation
Day 1- NEO, accesses (do not offer EPIC until Thursday–Thursday training)
Unit orientation for remainder of the week
Other notes:
Rhythm exam needed prior to arrival (for RN)
Scrub color: Provided
No phones on the unit.
Must take breaks for 12 hr shift
3- 15 min rest breaks
1- 30 min lunch
Breaks for 8 and 10 hr shifts
2- 15 min rest breaks
1- 30 min lunch
