What You’ll Do

• Provide first assist support in complex adult cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, ascending aortic surgeries, and emergent dissections
• Assist with procedures such as maze, left atrial appendage exclusion, and redo sternotomies
• Support mechanical circulatory support procedures including Impella, ECMO, and IABP cannulation
• Assist with endoscopic vein harvesting, chest tube placement, and temporary pacing wire placement
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and operating room staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, utilizing EMR software (Epic) for documentation

What You Need

• Valid Missouri RN license
• Board Certification in Nurse Practitioner (required)
• BLS certification (required), RNFA preferred
• At least 2 years of independent adult cardiac OR first assist experience
• Strong surgical skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule with call coverage
